Knightsbridge Consulting is looking for IP Network Design Specialist to join our growing team.
What will I be doing in this role?
You will be expected to produce solutions that are robust, secure and provide optimal performance. You will be able to influence network strategy and architecture and will be able to function as the point of escalation to resolve technical/design issues.
This role can be based in London, Ipswich, or Bristol Offices with an opportunity for hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days wherever you like). The role holder must be a UK National or have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years, as security clearance will be required.
What I’ll be doing – your accountabilities
Define and agree IP network designs for the mobile core, in line with architecture and with operational and security requirements.
Produce high quality design documentation, high- and low-level designs.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers.
Provide technical consultancy at a platform and/or overall solution level to other teams and business units – this could be to any stakeholder within the business.
Assess the skills and effort required to support project deliverables with cost impact and duration.
Define test requirements for technical designs.
Skills required for the job
Knowledge of IP Networking, including routing and switching, Firewalls, load-balancing, resilience, QOS, VPNs, network security; experience in a service provider environment.
Knowledge of Juniper and Cisco Routers and Switches
Understanding of 4G/5G mobile networks
Understanding of network virtualisation and SDN
Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
Ability to describe complex technical issues in simple terms.
An interest in network automation and coding will be beneficial.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor or Masters Degree
Good to have
Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE/AWS/Azure
